Privacy policy

ultrapc.store is operated by Alain Robinson, trading as Digital Solutions, an Entrepreneur individuel registered under SIREN 524454113, established at 116 Avenue de Paris, 94800 Villejuif, France. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi n° 78-17 du 6 janvier 1978 modifiée), we are the data controller for the personal data described in this Policy.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as this is not a legal requirement given the size of our business and the nature of our processing. Any question about your data can be sent directly to support@ultrapc.store.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you browse ultrapc.store, create an account, place an order, contact our support team, or subscribe to our communications, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to all visitors and customers of ultrapc.store, regardless of the device or location you use to access the site.

3.1 Data You Give Us Directly

• Account data — name, email address, password (stored encrypted), phone number;
• Order data — billing and delivery address, items ordered, order value, delivery instructions;
• Support data — anything you send us via a contact form, live chat, or email, including attachments such as photos submitted for a return or warranty claim;
• Build configuration data — the components you select when using our PC configurator, if you save or submit a custom build;
• Reviews and comparisons — product reviews you post, and products you add to your wishlist or comparison list.

We do not collect or store your full payment card number, expiry date, or security code. These are entered directly with our payment service providers, described in §5.1.

3.2 Data We Collect Automatically

• IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system;
• Pages viewed, products browsed, referring page, approximate session duration;
• Cookies and similar technologies, described in §7.

3.3 Data From Third Parties

If you choose to sign in or interact with us through a third-party service (for example a payment provider or a live chat widget), that service may pass us limited data — for example a confirmation that a payment succeeded, or the transcript of a chat conversation you started — in accordance with that service’s own privacy policy.

• To process and deliver your order, including invoicing, shipping, and handling returns or warranty claims — necessary for the performance of the sales contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b));
• To manage your account, including order history, wishlist, and saved comparisons — performance of the contract;
• To respond to your support requests — performance of the contract, or our legitimate interest in providing customer service (Article 6(1)(f));
• To comply with our accounting, tax, and consumer-law obligations — legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c));
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, including of the return policy described in our Return & Refund Policy — our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f));
• To improve the site, for example understanding which products or pages are most useful — our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)), or your consent where analytics cookies require it;
• To send you marketing communications such as newsletters or promotions — only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, each bound by a data processing agreement compliant with Article 28 of the GDPR where they act on our behalf:

5.1 Payment Service Providers

Payment is processed by the payment method you select at checkout (for example a card processor or PayPal). These providers receive the payment data needed to process your transaction directly; we only receive confirmation that payment succeeded or failed, and, where applicable, a reference number for refunds.

5.2 Shipping and Fulfillment Partners

To deliver your order, we share your name, delivery address, and phone number with the carrier and, where applicable, the fulfillment partner responsible for preparing or shipping your order. As explained in our Return & Refund Policy, some products are shipped by logistics partners rather than from our own stock; see §6 for what this means for international transfers of your data.

5.3 Other Service Providers

• Our website hosting provider, which stores the data described in this Policy on our behalf;
• Our email and support tools, used to send order confirmations and respond to your enquiries, including any live chat widget active on the site;
• Analytics tools, where enabled, used in aggregated or anonymized form wherever possible.

5.4 Legal and Regulatory Disclosures

We may disclose your data where required by law, in response to a valid request from a public or judicial authority, or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

Some of our fulfillment and logistics partners operate warehouses located outside the European Economic Area, including in Asia. Where your order data (name, delivery address, phone number) is transferred to such a partner to prepare or ship your order, we ensure the transfer is protected by an appropriate safeguard recognized under Chapter V of the GDPR, in particular the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You may request more information about these safeguards by contacting us at support@ultrapc.store.

7.1 Types of Cookies We Use

• Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function, such as keeping items in your shopping cart, maintaining your session, and remembering your currency or language. These do not require consent.
• Functional cookies — remember your preferences, such as your saved comparisons or wishlist, to improve your experience.
• Analytics cookies — where enabled, help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These are only set with your consent.
• Marketing cookies — where enabled, used to measure the performance of our marketing. These are only set with your consent.

7.2 Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Where non-essential cookies are used, you can accept or decline them through the cookie preference banner presented on your first visit, and change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect the site’s functionality, for example your ability to keep items in your cart.

• Account data — for as long as your account remains active, then deleted or anonymized within 3 years of your last activity;
• Order and invoice data — 10 years from the date of the transaction, as required by French commercial and tax law (Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code);
• Support correspondence — 3 years from our last contact with you;
• Marketing consent and communications — until you unsubscribe, and for 3 years thereafter to demonstrate compliance;
• Cookies — a maximum of 13 months, in line with CNIL guidance.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), password hashing, restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, and regular security updates to the systems that host our site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Erase your data, subject to our legal obligations (for example, we cannot delete invoice data before the end of the 10-year retention period);
• Restrict or object to certain processing, in particular processing based on our legitimate interest or used for marketing;
• Port your data to another provider, in a structured, commonly used format, where processing is based on your consent or on a contract;
• Withdraw your consent at any time, for any processing based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal;
• Set guidelines for what happens to your data after your death, in accordance with French law.

10.1 How to Exercise Your Rights

Contact us at support@ultrapc.store. To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm your identity before processing your request. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will explain the reason for the extension.

10.2 Right to Lodge a Complaint With the CNIL

If you believe your data protection rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority: Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), 3 Place de Fontenoy — TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France — www.cnil.fr.

We only send you marketing emails (newsletters, promotions, restock alerts) if you have opted in, for example by subscribing during checkout or through a sign-up form. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link; you can also withdraw your consent at any time by contacting support@ultrapc.store. Withdrawing your consent to marketing does not affect transactional emails, such as order confirmations or shipping updates, which we send regardless of your marketing preferences as part of fulfilling your order.

ultrapc.store is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 15, the age at which French law permits a minor to consent to data processing without parental authorization (Article 45 of the French Data Protection Act). If you believe a minor under this age has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, contact us at support@ultrapc.store and we will delete it.
